Amanda Cepero, LPC

Amanda Cepero, LPC, is a Licensed Therapist who graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Haven.

As a Licensed Therapist, Amanda’s focus is to explore how a person’s past and present relationships/coping patterns influence their life, which helps her to customize a treatment plan that gets you where you want to be. Amanda specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She treats a vast array of conditions and symptoms, including anxiety, depression, couples counseling, family conflict and family therapy and parenting, parenting training, premarital counseling, divorce, LGBTQ+, grief and loss, medical conditions and concerns, significant life transitions, trauma, OCD, grief, and spirituality.

Amanda works with individuals of all ages, including children 6+, adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families. Using several modalities for treatment based on a patient’s goals, Amanda uses ACT therapy, DBT, CBT, specialized medication practices (contemplative therapy), art therapy, narrative therapy, play therapy, person-centered, EFT, somatic therapy, and Christian counseling. Her focus is always to guide clients through their emotions with acceptance, patience and compassion towards self.

If you are experiencing confusion with your spirituality, I am here to guide you in exploring blocks stopping you from growing your spiritual self, whether it be Christianity or more holistic approaches with nature.”
