Krina Adhikari, LPC

Krina Adhikari, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with mental health and substance use concerns. Krina received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, after which she continued her career working with adolescents and adults of all ages on issues ranging from addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management, trauma, phase of life changes, relationship troubles, and many more. Krina has a passion for working with individuals who want to find ways to make changes in their lives. She lives and works by the quote “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Krina uses a holistic and strength-based approach in her clinical work and uses a variety of styles from modalities including Myers-Briggs personality assessments, DBT for symptom regulation, and solution focused theory to best address her patients’ needs. She particularly enjoys utilizing strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy, to assist patients to re-frame their thoughts, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy to decrease uncomfortable symptoms. Krina sees each patient as an individual and incorporates patients’ personality style, culture, beliefs, and goals into each individual treatment plan.
