Megan Strobel, APRN

Megan Strobel, APRN, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Hartford with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, and from Regis College with a Post Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Prior to obtaining her APRN license, she has 9 years of nursing experience, working with patients of all ages in a variety of treatment settings ranging from pediatrics, psychiatry to emergency medicine. Megan also enjoys working with other healthcare professionals, and served as an Adjunct Clinical Nurse Instructor at Quinnipiac University, as well as a Clinical Nurse Education Specialist at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Megan provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for the entire lifespan with various behavioral health illnesses, such as, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She enjoys working with young adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. She strives to understand the person as a whole and believes working together to develop tailored strategies is essential. Her goal is to create an individualized plan of care that values client and family involvement, inter-professional collaboration, and evidenced-based practice. Each client will be given a holistic personalized approach, which will also lead the individual to feel empowered in their treatment through supportive education. Megan has a calm, understanding presence and enjoys working with individuals as a whole, working with additional practitioners in nutrition or alternative medicine, if the patient wishes, for well rounded, patient-centered care.
