Alexandra Ferris, LPCA

Alexandra Ferris, LPCA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor associate, with a Masters of Science in Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Western Connecticut State University. She also has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Susquehanna University.

Alexandra has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, ranging from outpatient settings, to working with clients experiencing higher acuity symptoms in an IOP setting. Alexandra has a vast array of experience, including working with individuals in crisis situations, experiencing distressing symptoms, to working with generalized anxiety, depression, mood disorders, school avoidance, social anxiety, secondary substance misuse, ADHD, bipolar disorder, DMDD. Alexandra also enjoys working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, and with individuals who are differently abled. She uses CBT, DBT, Expressive Arts Therapy, play therapy to create a tailored treatment plan that is fun, individualized, and can give clients the tools and skills to help them succeed in their day to day life.

Alexandra believes in creating a comfortable environment where people can feel supported and open to share their feelings and experiences. She strives to create a fun, creative environment so clients are able to gain comfortability in the counseling environment, where they can share their true selves and learn new skills & engage in what makes them unique and exceptional.
