Psychotherapy

“What we don’t need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human.”

Psychotherapy is a sacred space where we can share our innermost thoughts, feelings, and fears.  So often, we can feel that our feelings are “too much” or “abnormal”, and we need a listening ear to remind us of our strengths and to help us use coping skills to assist with moments that feel difficult to handle.  The body and mind are magnificent, and with time, practice, and the right skills, can heal in a beautiful way that makes you feel more confident and at peace.

We specialize in working with several mental health conditions and symptoms, in particular:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders, Bipolar disorder, and OCD
  • LGBTQ+ individuals exploring their identity and/or transitioning
  • Parenting issues
  • Chronic Illness and Chronic Pain
  • Individuals who care for a loved one with physical and/or mental health conditions
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Childhood trauma that is presenting itself in adulthood
  • Emotional eating
  • Life and career transitions (college students, adults changing careers or experiencing big life changes)
  • Children who are experiencing school issues and need assistance with advocacy and coping skills to feel better and perform better at school
  • New moms experiencing feelings of overwhelm, postpartum anxiety and/or depression
  • Professionals who are experiencing mental health symptoms or feelings of burnout of overwhelm
  • Highly sensitive people (HSP).  We have had the pleasure of working extensively with highly sensitive individuals of all ages. If you find you feel deeply, feel hurt easily, feel overwhelmed in crowds or after a lot of intense contact with others, you might be a highly sensitive person.  It can be very difficult to feel so much in a world that sometimes asks us to not show who we are.  We would be honored to help you discover if you are an HSP and how we can use your unique gifts as a strength and a way to improve your life and be your happiest, most authentic self.
  • We offer tele-health therapy for all of the above and more

“We understand now that I’m not a mess but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why We cry so often, We say, for the same reason We laugh so often- because We are paying attention.”
