Sara Cosseboom, LMSW

Sara Cosseboom, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned both her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Quinnipiac University.

Sara has provided therapy in outpatient, group, and school-based settings working primarily with children and adolescents experiencing ADHD, OCD, generalized anxiety, major depressive disorders, behavioral challenges, self-esteem concerns, school-related issues, and life transitions. Sara has had an interest in working with children for much of her life. Prior to becoming a social worker, Sara worked as a daycare teacher and nanny, both of which helped her shape a nurturing and engaging style with children.

Sara is passionate about supporting young clients using a combined approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy to meet children where they are at their level of need. Sara emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and incorporates crafts, imaginative play, and hands-on activities to help children express themselves, build emotional awareness, and develop effective coping skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Sara also loves to work with college students and adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, school and career related concerns, and adults who need parenting support. With vast experience working with school related concerns, and working with children, Sara has a keen sense of how to support adults with parenting, as well as support adults struggling in college or the workplace while navigating ADHD, depression, or anxiety or major life changes.  Sara believes therapy is a safe space, one that is free of judgment, which serves to help you understand yourself better. As a therapist, it is her main priority to provide you with a warm, accepting space to work towards instilling positive changes in your life at any age.
