Education and Training
Rachel earned her Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, completing a program known for its integrative, holistic perspective combined with evidence-based approaches to client assessment and counseling. Her approach blends functional medicine principles with trauma-informed, evidence-based nutrition practices, helping clients make realistic and sustainable changes.
Her passion for nutrition began with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, followed by several years working on organic farms and farmers markets, and traveling internationally while volunteering in sustainable agriculture and studying Ayurveda. These experiences shaped her understanding of food systems, cultural food practices, and the connection between lifestyle and health.
