Abigail Horowitz, LMSW is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker and current Doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. She completed her Master’s in Social Work degree at Springfield College after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree(s) in Psychology, Spanish, and Youth Services from the University of Saint Joseph. Abby has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a multitude of settings including but not limited to therapeutic day programs, high acuity residential programs, addiction and mental health residential treatment programs, and school environments. In addition to being a certified school social worker, she has also participated in ADHD and academic coaching programs with an emphasis on executive functioning skills. She believes in a holistic, strength-based approach with an integration of different modalities that are trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
Abigail believes that truly listening to a client helps build trust and the road to success and healing. Much of what a client describes as their symptoms and story holds key factors to the difficulties they experience everyday, as well as possible interventions and solutions based on their lifestyle, needs, culture, and goals. Abby is steadfast in her commitment to fostering positive and lasting change, and she believes learning is a life-long process. She is passionate about collaborating with clients to empower them to reach their full potential and takes pride in gently walking the path to healing with clients while showing unconditional positive regard and belief in their strengths.
