Krista Lee, LPCA
Krista Lee, LPCA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who received a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Health and Behavioral Medicine from William James College in Boston. She also graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Services.
Krista has experience with a wide range of clients from ages 11 and up, and especially enjoys working with adolescents and young adults with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, trauma, substance abuse or dual diagnosis. Krista has experience working closely with adolescents in a residential behavioral unit, as well as individual and group therapy at a substance abuse clinic and in correctional facilities. She has several years experience working with individuals experiencing acute symptoms, and is skilled in crisis intervention and management.
Krista is passionate about creating a safe space for all clients to feel free to explore new ways of thinking using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Krista’s background in Behavioral Medicine and Health influences her holistic, person centered approach and use of mindfulness and grounding techniques. She believes each person is unique in their journey and works collaboratively with her clients to develop a tailored treatment plan. Krista believes in the power of community, and together we can create a healthier and more peaceful life worth living.
