Leina Fruhbauer, APRN, PMHNP-BC

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. With over 20 years of experience as a nurse, including 11 years working in inpatient psychiatric settings and 9 years practicing as a psychiatric prescriber, I bring extensive clinical knowledge and a deep understanding of mental health treatment to my work.

My background in inpatient psychiatry has given me valuable experience supporting individuals through complex mental health challenges and periods of acute distress. This experience helps inform my thoughtful and thorough approach to outpatient care today. I take a collaborative approach to treatment, partnering with each patient to develop an individualized plan that aligns with their goals, values, and lifestyle. Treatment may include careful medication management along with education and supportive strategies to help patients better understand and manage their mental health.

I believe effective care begins with listening. By building a strong therapeutic relationship and maintaining open communication, I strive to empower patients to take an active role in their treatment and move toward improved well-being and stability in their daily lives.
