Jenna Kuchta, LPCA

Jenna Kuchta, LPCA, is a licensed professional counselor associate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lafayette College, and a Master’s Degree in school counseling from the University of Saint Joseph. She has experience working with individuals of all ages including middle school through adult, in multiple settings including school, residential, community and assisted living.

Jenna has worked on an assertive community treatment team with adults who have severe and persistent mental illnesses ranging from depression and anxiety, to schizophrenia and personality disorders. Jenna has also worked as a school counselor and case manager, enabling her to be aware of the need for resources and community to assist clients to access individualized care and support for their particular symptoms, in order to achieve their highest potential of success. Jenna takes an interest in career and financial counseling, and truly enjoys helping to empower her patients to live their life to their truest potential. With this passion, Jenna also has experience in, and enjoys working with, with patients experiencing life changes or transitions, chronic illness, suicidal ideation, grief and trauma. Jenna herself has experience with visual impairment, and hopes her experience with a life change can inspire her client’s to work through their own challenges and changes. In Jenna’s words, “I’d like to be a role model for clients so they feel comfortable discussing problems and situations with me. I can empathize while also helping them get to a place where they don’t let that be their entire identity.”

Jenna utilizes techniques from CBT, DBT and solution focused modalities. She focuses on a strength based and person centered approach. She believes in meeting clients where they are at, while helping them become more aligned with who they want to be, setting and reaching goals they strive to achieve and overcoming obstacles and barriers to their success. Jenna believes, “You can’t choose what life throws at you, but you can choose what to do with it!”
